The Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a customer service professional to join the Beverage team as a Beverage Server (Part-Time).

Beverage Servers are responsible for submitting and presenting guest beverage selections. The Beverage Server will gain menu knowledge and give recommendations from our compilation of libations. Servers engage in casual conversation and must maintain an attractive setting. Their style and service attributes are keys to creating the guest experience.  

Individual must be available for flexible shifts; dinner shifts (up to 2:00AM). Must be available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.

Starting wage for this position is $20.35 per hour plus gratuities, after 6 months wage is $23.74 per hour plus gratuities, after 1-year wage is $27.13 per hour plus gratuities.

  • Must have BC Serving It Right certificate
  • Must have Food Safe Level 1 certificate
  • Must be available to work various shifts which include weekends and holidays depending on business needs
  • Must have previous customer service experience
  • Must have at least one year serving experience in a hotel, restaurant or pub setting
  • Must have good upselling skills
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred
  • Knowledge and previous experience with POS Micros system is preferred
  • Must have refined and professional communication skills at all times
  • Knowledge of a second language is an asset
  • Must be able to adapt to a diverse environment
  • Must be an excellent team player and able to work with minimum supervision
