Thompson Houston is now recruiting for In-Room Dining Server. Join our hotel team as part of our new destination restaurant concept within Thompson Houston Hotel. This position is available to start immediately. The 3-meal dining venue includes an expanded 1-acre pool deck serving hotel guests and residents, luxury cabanas, private event spaces, indoor-outdoor dining areas and the best views of downtown. This restaurant service is managed by Thompson Houston Hotel and Hyatt Hotels Corporation.

In-Room Dining colleagues are responsible for recording guest food and/or beverage orders, offering menu suggestions, processing forms of payment for goods and services to include room charges and credit card. Our In Room Dining Attendants are a vital point of contact for an elevated guestroom dining experience and have the ability to ensure satisfaction.  Other duties include general in room dining preparation, delivering items in a timely manner, removal of serving trays from guestroom floors and maintaining a sanitary environment.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Receives and inputs guest orders.

  • Ensure receipt of orders by kitchen are correct.

  • Delivers food and beverage orders and collects payments.

  • Settles checks in the P.O.S. system according to Hotel specifications.

  • Assists in the maintenance of the Room Service area and equipment, including retrieval of all equipment throughout the hotel.

  • Handles complaints or challenges with a positive attitude
