About ATTIC: ATTIC stands for "Alternatives to Traditional Incarceration of Citizens." We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to developing interventions that enable individuals to avoid unnecessary levels of incarceration, enhance community safety and provide a setting that facilitates treatment and the reduction of recidivism. We operate residential and other correctional programs throughout Wisconsin that provide case management, counseling and treatment groups, vocational training and high-risk client monitoring and supervision.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and organized Human Resources Talent Specialist to join our HR team at our Administrative Offices in Madison. This role focuses primarily on recruiting and onboarding employees for one of our largest statewide programs.
The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, managing multiple priorities, and helping connect talented individuals with meaningful career opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within the HR and talent acquisition field while working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
This is a part-time position offering work schedule flexibility, approximately 20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and support all phases of the recruitment and hiring process
  • Create and manage job postings across multiple recruitment platforms
  • Screen applications and identify qualified candidates
  • Schedule and conduct phone and virtual interviews
  • Collaborate with hiring managers on staffing needs and candidate selection
  • Assist with onboarding and hiring logistics
  • Participate in job fairs and recruitment events
  • Ensure hiring practices remain compliant with employment laws and company policies
  • Support ongoing recruiting strategies and talent sourcing efforts

Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in recruiting, hiring, or talent acquisition
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to manage confidential information professionally
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record and proof of insurance

Preferred Qualifications
  • HR certification or degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems or HR software
  • Familiarity with employment laws and HR best practices
  • Experience recruiting for multiple position types or high-volume hiring
