Join Our Team as a Full-Time Activities Assistant at The Gardens at Easton

The Gardens at Easton, a leading skilled nursing facility, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team part time. In this role, you will be instrumental in enriching the lives of our residents by organizing and facilitating engaging programs and activities under the direction of the Activities Director.

Key Responsibilities

As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the emotional, recreational, and social well-being of our residents. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting residents with daily activities such as writing letters, making phone calls, and registering to vote.

  • Planning, coordinating, and supporting activities that provide entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and opportunities for creative expression.

  • Keeping accurate records of resident progress and activity participation.

  • Delivering mail, escorting residents to programs, and assisting with facility care, including plant maintenance and pet/fish care.

  • Creating newsletters, supporting fundraising efforts, and managing morning announcements.

  • Providing craft supplies and supervision for residents during creative projects, encouraging engagement in crafts, painting, and other hobbies.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Previous experience working with the elderly or disabled is highly desirable.
