Trellis Services is hiring one-on-one instructors to work with children and adolescents (ages 10 to 21) with autism in their homes and in the community. This part-time position (4 to 40 hours per week-afternoons, evenings and weekends) is ideal for someone who wants to make a difference in the life of a child! As a Trellis autism instructor, you will work under the supervision of one of our experienced Case Managers and gain experience using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. 

  • Provide one-on-one support with community independence, daily living and recreation/leisure
  • Flexible schedules; afternoon, evening and weekend shifts
  • Opportunities available throughout Maryland including Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil, Harford, Howard and Talbot counties
  • Ability to advance into other roles at Trellis

Position Requirements:

  • Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years old
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • The ability to pass a State/Federal background check.
  • Reliable transportation/Valid Driver's License/Current Auto Insurance
  • Minimum of 100 hours of working/volunteer or personal experience with individuals with developmental delays

Physical requirements vary and are based on specific client assignments. You may be asked to engage in any of the following: push, pull, lift up to 35 pounds, and move quickly, according to client needs. It is necessary to be able to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run.
