What are part-time IBJI positions?

Part-time IBJI positions refer to job roles at Illinois Bone & Joint Institute (IBJI) that require employees to work fewer hours than a full-time schedule, typically less than 30-35 hours per week. These positions can range from administrative roles to clinical support, such as medical assistants, physical therapists, or front desk staff. Part-time roles offer flexibility for those who need to balance work with other commitments, such as education or family. Employees in these positions may receive some benefits, though usually less comprehensive than those offered to full-time staff. IBJI values team members in both part-time and full-time capacities to support patient care and clinic operations.

What are some common challenges faced by part-time staff at IBJI and how can they be managed?

Part-time employees at Illinois Bone & Joint Institute (IBJI) often juggle a varied schedule, which can make time management and communication with full-time staff challenging. Additionally, adapting quickly to different patient needs and clinic pace requires flexibility and strong organizational skills. To manage these challenges, it's helpful to stay proactive in communicating availability, utilize scheduling tools provided by the team, and participate in regular team briefings to stay aligned on protocols and expectations. IBJI typically fosters a collaborative environment, making it easier to seek support and resources when needed.
