Description OPEN UNTIL FILLED Job Type: Part-Time Schedule: Weekends (primarily Saturdays) Alamance Community College (ACC) is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our Workforce Development Department as a part-time HVAC Instructor. The ideal candidate will teach HVAC courses to a diverse group of students, including English Language Learners (ELL). This role is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' careers while supporting ACC's mission to deliver high-quality, accessible education.

Example of Duties Key Responsibilities: Plan, develop, and deliver HVAC instruction in alignment with ACC's Workforce Development curriculum. Provide hands-on training in HVAC systems, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate English Language Learners, ensuring all students can understand and apply course material effectively.

Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds. Evaluate student progress through assessments, assignments, and practical demonstrations. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.

Collaborate with ACC staff to ensure program success and address student needs. Typical Qualifications Required: Extensive experience in the HVAC field, including installation, maintenance, and repair. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and HVAC industry standards.

Ability to work on weekends, particularly Saturdays. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with English Language Learners. Preferred: Previous teaching or instructional experience, particularly in a community college or technical training setting.
