Job description

Job Overview
This position ensures the cleanliness of the facility by performing a variety of housekeeping duties and overseeing clients in the performance of their duties.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Ensures all rooms, common areas, hallways, and stairwells are cleaned and inspected according to established procedures.
  • Ensures and documents that all cleaning solutions and supplies are in adequate supply, properly stored, available for use and accounted for
  • Ensures all equipment is maintained in good working order.
  • Ensures stock levels are maintained for all housekeeping consumables.
  • Supervises clients as they perform assigned details.
  • Ensures that all clients participate in scheduled weekly linen exchange.
  • Ensures clients linen is laundered and prepared for distribution.
  • Ensures there is an adequate supply of linens for arriving clients at the front desk.
  • Performs general cleaning through the facility.
  • Ensures that deep cleaning is done as scheduled or required.
  • Consults and advises the compliance manager when cleaning and other services should be contracted.
  • Ensures the disposal of trash from bins and containers are as directed by established procedures.
  • Cleans linens and gather used linens such as sheets or towels for laundering.
  • Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience or knowledge, skills, and ability equivalent
  • Physically able to push equipment used in the housekeeping department for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 to 30 pounds.
  • Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine, with the ability to stand for long lengths of time.
  • Previous experience cleaning preferred; training will be provided
  • Standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods of time.
Certifications and License
  • Valid driver's license and appropriate liability insurance preferred. Positions in this classification may be required to travel and work at multiple sites on a regular basis.
  • First Aid / CPR / AED certification completed within probationary period and maintained throughout employment.
