ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Greet and seat guests utilizing department greeting and steps of service.
Manage reservations including calling and confirming upcoming reservations.
Manage waitlist by providing accurate wait time estimates.
Address guest inquiries.
Communicate special requests with management, service staff and culinary team.
Assist the support team to turn tables faster by resetting them quickly and efficiently.
Take to-go orders and ensure the orders are packed with the required condiments.
Receive payment from guests in the form of cash, credit cards, and room charges and comp slips; make change as needed, verify validity of charges, record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed in order to properly balance all monetary transactions.
Make deposits/cash drops, complete appropriate cashier paperwork/reports, balance and secure bank.
Interact with team members and guests in a professional and polite manner including complaints and concerns are effectively handled.
Support and maintain Grand Sierra Resort guest service guidelines and other policies and procedures.
Help maintain safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
Assist Manager on duty in leading outlet and be an extension of management when one is not present.
Assist the department in implementing new strategies, policies and procedures.
Help provide clear communication and direction, keeping team members informed and educated on current department and company initiatives.
Support and maintain Grand Sierra Resort guest service guidelines and other policies and procedures.
Promptly correct and help other team members with technical issues and support staff on POS. Ensure team members are following all points of service.
Ensure the outlet and surrounding areas meet department standards and are suitable for guest use. This includes managing all opening, daily, and closing procedures.
Help maintain safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
Execute training programs for new and existing team members with outlet manager and training and technology manager
Help the manager with inventory and order sheet. Implement and track side work.
Communicate on any menu modifications and POS errors
Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Deal with guests and team members in a tactful and respectful manner.
Ability of simple reading, math, writing and task completion skills is required.
Must have the following skills: coordination, supervising, following instructions, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.
Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Previous cashiering experience is required or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Must have completed introductory period as a GSR restaurant cashier/host.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, frequently walking and balancing, and occasionally bending over during the duration of their shift.
Must be able to occasionally lift/carry and push/pull up to 10lbs.
The team member will constantly have repetitive use of both hands and occasional light and firm/strong grasping motions.
Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
