Private Duty Nurse (RN/LPN) - 1:1 Home Care

Lake Orion, MI
Shift Schedule
  • 12-Hour Day Shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Days Needed: Sunday through Saturday (Looking for full-time or part-time coverage)
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and technically skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one care for a client in Lake Orion. This is a high-acuity home environment where you will work as the clinical lead alongside a 12-hour daily home health aide.
The client has a robust support system, including in-home PT/OT, massage therapy, and recreational therapy. This role is ideal for a nurse who excels in wound care and enjoys a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to patient wellness.
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Specialized Wound Care: Manage chronic wounds (including a sacral decubitus ulcer) using a Clinitron air-fluidized bed system.
  • Complex Care Management: Provide daily maintenance and care for a G-tube, Ileostomy, and Foley catheter.
  • Collaborative Care: Work in tandem with the 12-hour aide to ensure the client's comfort, hygiene, and safety.
  • Therapy Support: Assist in the implementation of programs designed by visiting PT, OT, and Recreational therapists.
  • Documentation: Maintain precise clinical records of intake/output, skin integrity, and medication administration.
Qualifications
  • Licensure: Valid Michigan RN or LPN license.
  • Clinical Experience: Strong background in wound care and/or spinal cord injury care is highly preferred.
  • Comfort with Animals: Must be comfortable working in a home with two friendly cats.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with custom shower chairs and wheelchair-accessible vans is a plus.
  • Physical Ability: Able to assist with positioning and transfers as needed.
