Boots to Business General Contracting is a Veteran-Owned General Contracting company specializing in residential and commercial renovations, multifamily unit turns, property maintenance, remodeling, and repair services.

We are looking for an experienced Construction & Maintenance Technician who wants to grow with a company that's expanding quickly. We currently have enough work to keep the right person busy 2–3 days per week, with the expectation of transitioning into a full-time position as we continue securing larger renovation and commercial projects.

What You'll Be Doing

Our work changes every week, making every day different. Typical projects include:

  • Complete apartment and residential unit renovations

  • Drywall installation, patching, taping, mudding, texture, and repairs

  • Interior and exterior painting

  • Cabinet installation and cabinet repairs

  • Finish carpentry

  • Door and trim installation

  • Flooring repairs and installation

  • General handyman repairs

  • Property maintenance work orders

  • Light demolition

  • Punch list completion

  • Jobsite cleanup and organization

  • Material pickup and transportation

  • Communicating professionally with property managers and homeowners

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years construction experience preferred

  • Experience in drywall, painting, carpentry, and general maintenance

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to troubleshoot repair issues

  • Professional appearance and communication

  • Valid driver's license

  • Reliable transportation

  • Own basic hand tools

  • Own power tools needed to perform the work

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds

  • Ability to safely operate ladders and power equipment

Preferred:

  • Apartment turn experience

  • Property maintenance experience

  • Remodeling experience

  • Veteran or military background

Schedule

  • Monday through Saturday

  • Saturdays are optional and only scheduled when needed

  • Hours vary depending on project workload

  • Average starting schedule is approximately 2–3 days per week

  • Opportunity for additional hours as projects increase
