Job description

Part-Time Program Facilitator

Location: Lancaster, PA
Position Type: Part-Time (Average 20–25 hours/week)
Pay Range: $15–$18/hour

Help Kids Build Confidence Through Hands-On Learning

Are you energetic, reliable, and passionate about working with kids? Snapology of Lancaster is looking for a Part-Time Program Facilitator to lead engaging, hands-on programs that inspire children to build, create, collaborate, and solve problems.

This is a great opportunity for college students, education majors, substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, homeschool parents, retirees, or anyone looking for meaningful part-time work with a consistent schedule and opportunities for additional hours throughout the year.

If you enjoy making a positive impact while having fun, we'd love to meet you!

Schedule

The regular schedule includes:

  • Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, approximately 4:00–8:00 PM
  • Saturdays, typically every other Saturday

Additional hours may be available for daytime field trips, homeschool programs, camps, birthday parties, and special events. Daytime availability is helpful but not required.

Weekly hours vary depending on scheduled programming, enrollment, and the employee’s availability for additional shifts.

What You'll Do

Lead Engaging Programs
Teach fun, hands-on enrichment programs using Snapology's provided curriculum, LEGO® Bricks, robotics, and other interactive learning tools. No lesson planning required—we provide the curriculum, training, and materials.

Inspire Young Builders
Create a positive, encouraging environment where children build confidence, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills through hands-on experiences.

Facilitate Memorable Experiences
Lead programs at the Snapology Discovery Center, local schools, libraries, and community partner locations, adapting activities for children ages 4–14.

Represent Snapology
Build positive relationships with children, families, schools, and community partners while maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming learning environment.

Prepare & Wrap Up
Set up materials before each program and clean up afterward to ensure every learning space is ready for the next group.

What We’re Looking For

Teaching certification is not required. Applicants should have experience leading and managing groups of 10 or more children in a classroom, camp, childcare, youth program, or similar setting.

  • Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
  • Confident group-leadership and behavior-management skills
  • Comfortable leading activities independently after completing training
  • Availability on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings
  • Availability for regular Saturday programming
  • Reliable transportation to the Snapology Discovery Center and local partner locations
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required clearances, including Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Child Abuse, and FBI federal background clearances
  • Current Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid certification—or willingness to obtain the required certification after hire
  • Dependable, organized, energetic, and enthusiastic
Why You'll Love Working Here
  • Consistent evening schedule with opportunities for additional daytime and seasonal hours
  • Opportunities for additional hours through field trips, camps, school programs, and special events
  • Paid training and ongoing coaching
  • Fun, supportive, team-oriented environment
  • Snapology shirt provided with casual dress (jeans or khakis)
  • Valuable experience in education, child development, and youth programming
Join Our Team!

At Snapology, we believe kids who build things become adults who build things. Every program is an opportunity to help children build confidence, creativity, resilience, and problem-solving skills through hands-on experiences.

If you're looking for rewarding part-time work where you can make a real difference in the lives of children—and where no two days are exactly the same—we'd love to hear from you!
