Responsibilities:

The purpose of this position is to transport equipment to and from specified destinations in a timely manner. This includes:


  • Knowledge of appropriate load securement

  • Ability to load and unload equipment

  • Maintains and checks truck's equipment and supplies to assure roadworthiness

  • Notifies supervisor of currently needed or anticipated repairs

  • Checks vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order (pre-trip/post-trip inspection)

  • Verifies the types of materials being hauled as well as their weight

  • Keeps truck clean and in good working order

  • Responsible for minor repairs and servicing of assigned equipment to maintain safety and continued operation on a day-to-day basis

  • Performs other tasks as needed
  • Complies with Company Safety Program


Requirements:


  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in moving heavy construction equipment using lowboy tractor trailer

  • Valid Class A CDL with doubles-triples endorsement

  • Acceptable driving record

  • Strong safety record

  • Must successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background check, motor vehicle record checks

  • Must be able to travel throughout Minnesota, North and South Dakota

  • Regular, consistent attendance and regular overtime at all assigned job sites

  • Ability to work cooperatively with others

  • Physical strength and endurance to perform all principal duties and responsibilities

  • Safety oriented mindset

  • Strong communicator both oral and written

  • Ability to work as a member of a team

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • General computer knowledge

  • Ability to prioritize, solve problems and demonstrate resourcefulness
