Job description

PART TIME- HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Purpose of the Position

Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for maintaining the quantity of sand available for production by relocating product to the appropriate areas.


Essential Functions

• Safely operate front end loader, excavator, haul truck, skid steer, backhoe, forklift, telehandler and bulldozer.

• Perform appropriate pre-shift equipment examinations.

• Grease and fuel equipment when needed.

• Perform plant maintenance as directed, including assisting shift mechanic with repairs as extra set of hands.

• Maintain safe, neat and orderly work areas in and around the facility.

• Follow safe work practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and as described during training.

• Perform work in accordance with all applicable State and Federal mining laws.

• Perform housekeeping as directed.

• Commit to and support company’s Quality Policy and Objectives.

• Other duties as assigned.


Job Specification (Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities)

• Previous experience operating a skid steer loader, forklift, bobcat and other small power equipment preferred.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
