Title: Cook 558019004
Department: Food & Nutrition Services
Reports To: Food Service Supervisor and Executive Chef
Shift Times: 5:00am-1:00pm or 11:00am -7:00pm
JOB SUMMARY
The Food Services Cook will prepare quality food for patients, associates, and guests under the supervision of the Production Supervisor and Chef. The cook will use standardized recipes for product consistency, follow production guidelines referring to the amounts prepared, batch cooking, and leftover management. The cook follows HACCP guidelines, completing HACCP documentation as required. The cook will also performs regular cleaning assignments.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school degree, GED or willingness to obtain a GED within one year of employment. Or Equivalent Relevant experience to the position.
Licensure: None
Experience: Experience as a hospital or line cook preferred
Skills: None
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in a typical institution kitchen setting subject to the hazards associated with such an environment including wet surfaces, cleaning and cooking equipment, and sharp instruments. Moderate amounts of lifting, stooping, stretching and bending. Extended periods of standing or walking are required.
