Job description

Wedgewood Weddings is looking for a dependable, hands-on Venue Maintenance Technician to help keep our beautiful wedding venues looking their best. This role focuses on the day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of our buildings and grounds to ensure every event is safe, clean, and guest-ready.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and general repairs throughout the venue.

  • Complete basic repairs including painting, drywall patching, light plumbing, carpentry, and minor electrical work.

  • Keep buildings, outdoor spaces, and common areas clean, safe, and well maintained.

  • Assist with seasonal landscaping, including watering, trimming, weeding, and general grounds maintenance.

  • Perform snow removal and ice mitigation during winter weather.

  • Remove trash and debris from the property as needed.

  • Assemble furniture, fixtures, or equipment when needed.

  • Identify maintenance issues and report repairs that require outside vendors or specialized work.

  • Follow all safety procedures and help maintain a safe environment for guests and team members.

  • Assist with other maintenance projects as assigned by venue leadership.

What We're Looking For
  • At least 1 year of general maintenance, handyman, construction, landscaping, or related experience.

  • Basic knowledge of common maintenance tasks such as painting, drywall repair, plumbing, carpentry, or electrical repairs.

  • Comfortable using hand and power tools safely.

  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.

  • Able to prioritize tasks and work independently while also supporting the venue team.

  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • Able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand, bend, climb, and walk for extended periods.
