About Us

We are a professional couple based in Menlo Park with a friendly one-year-old mini Bernedoodle and a beautiful cat. Both of us work full-time, one in a hybrid office schedule, the other primarily from home. We are seeking a proactive, trustworthy, and detail-oriented House Manager to help keep our home running smoothly.

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys creating order, loves to cook, and finds satisfaction in supporting a busy household with calm, consistent care. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, values clear communication, and thrives in a supportive and respectful environment.

Who You Are

You're calm, organized, and quietly confident. You take initiative, anticipate needs, and love creating systems that make daily life easier. You're also a strong cook-comfortable preparing paleo-inspired, gluten-free, and dairy-free meals, and able to plan, shop for, and prepare 2-3 healthy dinners each week with extra portions for later.

You're the kind of person who notices when supplies are low, enjoys managing household logistics, and communicates clearly when something needs attention. You appreciate a tidy, well-run home and take pride in bringing structure and ease to others' lives.

Key ResponsibilitiesHousehold Management
  • Maintain an organized and well-functioning home environment
  • Tidy and reset rooms daily (not full cleaning - weekly cleaning service remains in place)
  • Oversee organization of closets, drawers, pantry, and storage areas
  • Manage household inventory and restock supplies (pantry staples, toiletries, cleaning products)
  • Coordinate with home vendors and service providers as needed
  • Handle errands such as returns, post office runs, and deliveries
  • Manage and maintain family vehicle (e.g., schedule washes and servicing)
  • Support with travel planning, scheduling, and household logistics
Meal Planning & Prep
  • Plan, shop for, and prepare 2-3 simple, healthy meals per week
  • Focus on paleo-style cooking (meat, fish, fruits, vegetables) for one adult and a mixed approach for the other
  • Confident cooking gluten- and dairy-free dishes
  • Grocery shopping and kitchen restocking
  • Maintain clean, organized kitchen and appliances
  • Collaborate to create a rotating menu of favorite recipes
Laundry & Linens
  • Wash, fold, and put away laundry (including bedding and towels)
  • Steam or iron clothing as needed
  • Rotate and refresh linens regularly
Pet Care
  • Light support for Maui (dog) and Iris (cat)
  • Dog walks or daycare drop-offs 2-3 times per week
  • Keep pet food and supplies stocked and organized
  • Occasional pet check-ins while family travels

  • Prep home for holidays, guests, or gatherings
  • Assist with packing/unpacking and trip preparation
  • House sitting or oversight while family travels
Ideal Traits
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
  • Calm, kind, and dependable with a strong sense of initiative
  • Skilled at planning, scheduling, and communication
  • Enjoys cooking and familiar with dietary preferences and restrictions
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable managing digital lists and household systems
