Description

Chalet's Retail Store is looking for a friendly and outgoing, strategic Cashier to join our talented team who was named "America's Most Innovative Garden Center". Reporting directly to the Retail Engagement Manager, you'll primarily be responsible for assisting customers with completing their purchases and returns and providing them with a lasting positive impression.


Responsibilities include:

  • Processing and finalizing customers' sales accurately through our POS system.
  • Greeting customers with a friendly and personable attitude.
  • Gift wrapping customer purchases as needed.
  • Flexibility to work on other projects around the store or nursery if needed.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have these qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in retail or customer service preferred.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors.
  • Basic touch screen abilities and ability to learn new technology.
  • Ability to stand for a 6 - 8 hour shift and lift 20 - 40 pounds.
  • Being detail-oriented and adept at time management.
  • An unflappable customer service mindset and a collaborative, friendly and helpful team nature.

This is a part-time, seasonal position (with more shifts available during the height of pre-holiday decorating). We're looking for someone that can commit to at least 3 shifts per week including one on a weekend day. Shifts are typically 6-8 hours. We're also happy to accommodate school schedules.
