Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Catechist
Part-time
Catholic required
St. Mary School German Village, 700 S. Third Street, Columbus, Ohio 43206, is seeking an individual who wants to share their faith and support students religious formation through the method of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS).
The selected candidate will assist in the implementation the CGS curriculum, which may include preschool age children. They will work with the director of religious education for the school to support the spiritual formation of the student body and work collegially with other staff members.
Requirements:
Candidates must be a practicing Catholic. Preference will be given for those trained or seeking to be trained in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Methodology. Must be able to communicate effectively and maintain cooperative working relationships with all school personnel. Will report to the principal of the school. A flexible approach towards assignments and the ability to successfully operate under appropriate guidelines is a must.
A current FBI/BCI background check, attendance at the Virtus Protecting God's Children training and a completed online application for the Diocese of Columbus must be submitted as part of the application process.
