Job description

Game Nerdz is a retailer of games, accessories, and FUN and is looking to add to our team-oriented family! The ideal candidate for the role of a part-time Sales Associate is hard-working, has a positive attitude, and is eager to learn.

Duties:

  • Arrive on time for shifts, prepared for work.
  • Open to feedback, communicates well and takes action as required.
  • Work together with the team in order to ensure all tasks are completed up to company standards.
  • Assisting with receiving new shipments
  • Working on register system and being able to handle cash, gift card, and credit card transactions
  • Perform trash runs, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and regular bathroom upkeep to keep work area clean and clutter free.
  • Responsible for an outstanding customer service experience by product and brand knowledge to provide the highest level of care to customers.
  • Maintain an impactful store presentation that correlates to Game Nerdz standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store at all times (bathrooms, storage room, cash wrap, office, etc.).
  • Responsible for the promotion of the gaming events and player experience in store and on social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of events and ability to host events taking place in the store.

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of tabletop and trading card games

  • Basic Computer/Software - Various computer and tablet technologies familiarity
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends work hours as business dictates.
