Job description

Description The Town of South Kingstown has an exciting opportunity available in our Senior Services Division. The Senior Center is seeking part time applicants to cover the busy front desk at the Senior Center. The Front Desk Aide will work under the direction of the Senior Center Director, and is responsible for providing general customer service and receptionist functions at the front desk of the Senior Center.

Schedule Front Desk Aide coverage is needed Monday through Thursday 9am to 1pm, and is subject to change based on business need. Salary $16 per hour Examples of Duties Responsibilities include performing receptionist and minor office duties to include but not limited to greeting visitors, answering the telephone, processing activity registrations, and directing individuals to classes and meetings. The Front Desk Aide will need to be knowledgeable of all current Senior Center activities and programs, and will be able to direct inquiries to the appropriate person or group.

The Front Desk Aide will keep the front desk and lobby area neat, perform data entry and filing, assist with program set up, as well as oversee lunch registration sheets, daily count of lunch donations, and other duties as needed. Typical Qualifications Successful candidates must possess excellent customer service skills, have the ability to multi-task, and be computer proficient. To qualify, applicants will possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
