Job Summary

The Part-Time Front Desk Assistant serves as the first point of contact for students, visitors, and community members. This position provides excellent customer service by greeting guests, answering and directing phone calls, assisting with basic inquiries, and providing accurate information regarding college services and processes. The Front Desk Assistant supports student success by helping individuals navigate campus resources and directing them to the appropriate departments.

Job Duties:

Greet visitors, students, faculty, staff, and community members in a professional, friendly, and welcoming manner.
Answer incoming phone calls, respond to routine inquiries, and direct callers to the appropriate department or staff member.
Assist students by accessing and reviewing basic account information in accordance with college policies and confidentiality requirements.
Provide clear instructions and guidance regarding common college processes, services, and departmental procedures.
Respond to general questions and connect individuals with appropriate campus resources.
Maintain a professional front desk environment and ensure visitors receive timely assistance.
Record and relay messages accurately and promptly.
Assist with basic administrative and clerical tasks, including data entry, filing, and document preparation.
Maintain confidentiality of student records and sensitive information.
Support office operations and special projects as assigned.
