They often analyze evidence, review technical documentation, and provide expert opinions for legal cases or insurance claims. Working part-time, they may handle a reduced caseload or consult on specific projects, often preparing reports and sometimes giving testimony in court. Their expertise helps clarify the technical aspects of incidents involving electrical systems.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time forensic electrical engineer?

To thrive as a Part Time Forensic Electrical Engineer, you need a robust background in electrical engineering, investigative analysis, and a degree in electrical engineering, often with a Professional Engineer (PE) license. Familiarity with forensic analysis software, electrical testing tools, and report-writing systems is crucial for accurate evaluations. These competencies ensure reliable investigations, objective reporting, and credible expert testimony in legal and insurance contexts.

What are the typical responsibilities and challenges faced by a part time forensic electrical engineer?
