They work closely with parents and students to provide a safe, well-coordinated educational environment.Job Description:

Job Responsibilities

  • Gather and maintain accurate student and team attendance.

  • Ensure all paperwork is kept accurate and safe including attendance, class rosters, and student support files.

  • Assist with staff, student, and parent relations.

  • If needed, provide translation to parents and guardians.

  • If needed, work with bus rider for student coordination.

  • Point of contact for first aid medical attention. Call parents or guardians. Coordinate with the operations team on incidents.

  • Coordinate with staff and parents for student check in and check out during programming.

  • Recognize and work through conflicts, invite discussion on differences, and arrange for a third party to assist, if necessary.

  • Maintain open communication and mentorship with students.

  • Leads the Scholar Success Plan efforts and works with teachers to redirect students.

The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
