About the role
As a Risk Market Data Analyst at RWEST, you will be responsible for the daily provision of high-quality, validated market data and the coordination of the end-of-day process. You will ensure the timely delivery and integrity of market data and work closely with other Risk departments, Front Office, Back Office, and IT teams in a cross-functional environment. In addition, you will define, optimize, and manage business processes, data flows, and change management activities to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the daily market data process
  • Coordinating the trading end of day process
  • Interacting with desk-facing risk teams and front office
  • Supporting setup of new trading products
  • Calculating historical volatilities and correlation updates
  • Analyzing market data and creating regular market data reports
  • Implementing process enhancement initiatives, projects and new trading product setups

Job requirements and experience
  • Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and derive meaningful insights
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Experience with a programming language - Python/SQL
  • Interest in and willingness to further develop a broad range of technical skills-such as Python, AI, and database technologies-that are already applied within the team, including their use in data analysis, process automation, and continuous process improvement initiatives

Advantageous, but not essential
  • General knowledge of the risk process framework as well as market data quality assurance and management processes is a plus
