Job description

At Low and Slow Smokehouse, we're not just serving up award-winning BBQ-we're dishing out a one-of-a-kind experience atop Johnston Regional Airport. Picture this: wood-fired meats, craft beers, and planes taking off just beyond the patio. We're a tight-knit crew passionate about great food, good vibes, and making every guest feel like family.
What You'll Do:
  • Greet guests with a smile and guide them through our menu of smoked classics and signature drinks.
  • Serve up plates and pour drafts from our full bar, keeping the energy high and the service smooth.
  • Mix cocktails, pull pints, and recommend pairings-think brisket with a bold IPA or ribs with a bourbon twist.
  • Keep the dining room and bar humming-clear tables, restock, and jump in wherever the team needs you.
  • Bring your personality to the runway view-chat up pilots, locals, and visitors soaking in the scene.
  • Work with the pitmasters and kitchen to keep orders flying out on time.

Why Join Us:
  • Work somewhere unique-how many gigs overlook an active runway?
  • Competitive tips-our guests love the food and the view, and they show it.
  • Be part of a crew that values hustle, heart, and a good plate of ribs.
  • Flexible shifts-full-time or part-time, we'll make it work.

Requirements
Who You Are:
  • You've got serving or bartending experience (or a quick knack for learning-hospitality's in your blood).
  • You thrive in a fast-paced spot where no two shifts are the same-busy nights don't faze you.
  • You've got a current SafeServ certification-food safety's non-negotiable here.
  • You know your way around a bar-cocktails, beers, and a steady pour are your game.
  • You're a team player who loves a good laugh and can roll with a packed patio or a quiet lunch rush.
  • Bonus if you've got a TIPS certification (or can get one quick) and a soft spot for BBQ.
