Terms of Employment: 176 days 4 hours per day Job Summary: Prepare and serve meals to students per the monthly menu. Assist with any other duties as directed by the Food Service Director.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Essential duties of this position include the following. Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks. Other duties may be assigned.Prepare and serve food and assist with cleanup.Wash dishes and utensils and operate automatic kitchen equipment while maintaining sanitary specifications.Clean kitchen and cafeteria area(s).Know and follow all safety and sanitary rules and regulations related to food handling.Stock food and supplies for meals from storeroom and walk in freezerAssist in the maintenance of food quality.Monitor kitchen efficiencies and minimize food waste.Maintain appropriate certifications and training hours as required.Comply with applicable district, state, local and federal laws, rules and regulations.Interacts thoughtfully and courteously with students and staff.Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings as directedOther duties may be assigned as needed.QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
