Location: The Farmhouse Preschool – Cypress, TX
Schedule: Part-Time | Two shifts available: 6:00 AM–12:00 PM or 12:00 PM–6:00 PM

The Farmhouse Preschool is a family-owned, Texas-licensed early childhood education center dedicated to providing a warm, nurturing, and enriching environment for children to grow and learn. Our philosophy is “Back to the Basics,” focusing on foundational care, safety, and developmentally appropriate experiences.

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking two dependable and flexible Building Aides / Floaters to join our supportive team. These individuals will play a key role in maintaining classroom ratios and supporting our teachers throughout the day. Floaters provide classroom coverage when staff members are out, assist with transitions, and offer general support wherever needed in the building.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in classrooms across all age groups (Infants to Pre-K), as needed

  • Maintain appropriate child-to-teacher ratios in compliance with Texas Licensing standards

  • Step into classrooms to cover for staff breaks, absences, or planning time

  • Support teachers with classroom management, supervision, and routine care tasks

  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment

  • Collaborate with leadership and peers to ensure smooth daily operations

  • Provide nurturing and attentive care to children at all times

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with staff and families

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Previous experience working in a licensed childcare setting is preferred

  • Flexibility with daily duties and classroom assignments is essential

  • Ability to adapt to various age groups and classroom environments

  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Must meet all state licensing requirements, including background check and fingerprinting
