Description
The City of Marysville is hiring Part-time Firefighter-EMT Basic/Paramedics. The Marysville Division of Fire is a full service (Fire & EMS) department responding to 4,000 calls for service annually. Division apparatus includes one aerial tower, two engines, one grass fighter, a rescue vehicle, three rescue boats, and four Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances.
Rate of Pay: $19.50 per hour for EMT-B, $22.50 per hour for EMT-P
Job Responsibilities
  • Responds to emergency calls for fire suppression, rescue, and medical assistance.
  • Conducts fire prevention inspections and performs general maintenance on apparatus, equipment, and facilities.
  • Uses firefighting equipment and techniques to extinguish fires, including those involving oil, chemicals, or electrical sources.
  • Operates and drives fire apparatus like pump ladder trucks, pumps, and aerial ladders; rescues occupants; and ventilates burning structures.

Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate Degree in EMS or Fire Science is preferred
  • State of Ohio EMT-P certification, or EMT-B certification and currently enrolled in medic school
  • State of Ohio Firefighter Level II (240 hour card)
  • Valid Ohio driver's license
