A Part Time FINRA Series 27 professional is an individual who holds the FINRA Series 27 license and is employed on a part-time basis to serve as a Financial and Operations Principal (FinOp) for a broker-dealer. Their primary responsibilities include overseeing the firm's financial and operational compliance with SEC and FINRA regulations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring proper recordkeeping. Part-time FinOps are often hired by smaller firms that do not require a full-time compliance officer but still need to meet regulatory requirements. These professionals must stay updated on regulatory changes and maintain their license through continuing education.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time FINRA Series 27 Financial and Operations Principal (FINOP), and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part Time FINRA Series 27 Financial and Operations Principal (FINOP), you need strong expertise in accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, supported by passing the FINRA Series 27 exam.
