This position is currently a part time Driver position, Tues-Thursday, and will be transitioning this summer to FT, including Mondays and Fridays as an Activity Assistant.

What You’ll Do

The Transportation Driver is a personal care team member responsible for assuring that community-sponsored scheduled transportation is implemented appropriately and timely, with elder safety and security as the primary priority.

As Transportation Driver, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks.

Here are some general expectations:

  • You will provide excellent customer service to elders, families, and team members in a courteous and professional manner.
  • You will take the initiative to prioritize elder safety and satisfaction.
  • Using the community-owned vehicle, you will transport elders to and from medical appointments, activities, shopping errands, and off-site events.
  • You will complete routine periodic vehicle inspection checks.

What You’ll Bring

  • You will bring proof of personal automobile insurance.
  • You will be eligible to drive and pass an MVR records check.
  • You will be capable of maintaining regular, reliable attendance.
  • You can communicate with elders, families, team members, vendors, and the public.
  • You will meet all health requirements, including TB, if applicable.
  • You will be able to perform duties and responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • You will pass a criminal background check.
  • You will bring compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
