Job description

In the Financial Planning and Analysis Intern position, you'll gain hands-on experience in financial planning and analysis while helping Finance improve reporting, forecasting and business insights. You'll work with financial data and technology to identify trends, improve processes and support informed business decisions.

What You'll Do and Impact:

  • Support financial planning and analysis by preparing monthly reporting packages used by Finance and business leaders to understand performance.

  • Analyze financial and operational results to identify trends and key business drivers and support forecasting and other forward-looking analyses.

  • Help automate recurring financial reporting using Power BI and AI tools to reduce manual processes and improve visibility into business performance.

  • Partner with Finance and business stakeholders on ad hoc financial analyses, reporting requests and process improvements that support informed decision-making.

  • Communicate financial findings and recommendations through clear presentations and data-driven storytelling.

  • Support periodic tax-related activities, including tax reconciliations and other financial analyses, in partnership with Finance and Accounting Partners.

Experience:

  • Sophomore or higher standing in a four-year undergraduate program, or enrollment in a graduate program, majoring in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics or a similar field.

  • GPA of 3.3 or higher.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis and basic financial modeling.

  • Ability to work full time during the summer (~40 hours/week) and part time during the school year (~15-20 hours/week).

Additional Items of Interest:

  • Experience or demonstrated interest in AI, analytics, automation or data tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, Databricks, SQL, Python or similar technologies.

  • Personal projects, coursework, extracurricular activities or prior internship experience related to finance, analytics, automation or data.
