Job Summary

The In Store Part Time Teller position is responsible for the delivery of initiatives as they relate to building primary relationships with members, providing outstanding service and achieving branch goals. Promote and build positive relationships with customers of the grocery store and members to provide solutions to their financial needs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that customers/members are promptly and professionally served. Must be a champion of service and sales.
  • Receives members personally and by telephone. Assists members in general and in financial transactions with the credit union. Assists members with deposits and withdrawals.
  • Receives cash and checks for deposit to shares, and share draft accounts, for payment on loans and miscellaneous transactions. Issues, collects funds and accounts for sale of credit union money orders, travelers check, and cashier’s checks.
  • Operates teller computer terminal for member status information, maintenance and/or financial input transactions. Balances cash drawer and summarizes counter activity. Applies funds and issues receipts for miscellaneous payments. Performs related teller duties.
  • Build customer/member loyalty by processing transactions, accurately and efficiently.
  • Promote and build positive relationships with customers/members and provide solutions to their financial needs.
  • Possess working knowledge of financial institution products to grow business by matching value-added products and services to members and potential members.
  • Support best practices to continually improve sales, service, and operational duties.
  • Adhere to established procedures related to branch security and safety: opening/closing procedures, robbery procedures, etc.
  • Conduct business development activities to attract new business.
  • Assist with regular promotional campaigns to attract new customers/members.
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining a strong working partnership with retail

management and team.
