About This Role
Are you an experienced FP&A professional ready to make an impact in a dynamic, growth-focused environment? We're seeking a seasoned FP&A consultant to partner with senior executives and drive critical financial initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, account analyses, and monthly accruals. This role is perfect for someone with deep financial expertise, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work across disciplines in a rapidly evolving organization.
Work Location: Fully Remote with pacific standard time work hours
Duration: 4+ months, part-time (20-25 hours/week flexible)
Pay Rate Range: $80/hr-$90/hr
What You Will Work On
- Lead core FP&A processes: Long-range planning, annual budgets, monthly reporting, and continuous forecasting.
- Build and maintain financial models that inform strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
- Partner with senior leadership (CEO & CFO) to support business reviews, identify risks, uncover opportunities, and influence strategy.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses for capital planning and cash runway forecasting.
- Support accounting during month-end close on accrual analyses, budget-to-actual reviews, and financial reporting.
- Assist with government contracting and reporting, including indirect rate calculations.
- Serve as FP&A systems owner (Cube expertise a plus, but proficiency in Adaptive, Anaplan, or similar tools is welcome).
What You Will Bring
- 7+ years of finance/FP&A experience, ideally within biotech or life sciences.
- Proven track record with clinical development program budgeting, R&D forecasting, and cash runway modeling.
- Expertise in FP&A systems: Cube, Adaptive, Anaplan, TM1 (or similar).
- Advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint presentation skills for Board and leadership decks.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
