Part-Time Applied Music Tutor
Job Description
Applied music tutors are professional educators responsible for providing high-quality instruction to Applied Music students. Applied music tutors report to the Music Instructor and perform instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the college's mission, policies, and procedures.
Essential Duties Summary
Essential Responsibilities
  1. Teach applied lessons on or off campus (virtually) as needed.
  2. Teach appropriate course content.
  3. Follow course syllabi.
  4. Check and answer emails at least once a week.
  5. Maintain record of student attendance and participation for the instructor of record.
  6. Submit progress reports for every student the tutor meets with to the instructor of record.
  7. Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with the college and the instructor of record.
  8. Adhere to CCC policies and procedures.
  9. Conduct respectful relationships with faculty, staff, and students both in and outside the classroom.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range
$35.00 per hour

  • Bachelor's degree in Music or a closely related field OR commensurate performance ability and experience.

ADA requirements for this position include critical thinking skills with the ability to process information, analyze data, make assessments, and exercise good judgment to make decisions; possess ease of mobility within the work environment and other areas of campus; and effective use of all forms of communication (oral, visual, auditory), including use of computers. Be able to lift weights up to 10 pounds on a regular basis
