Job Responsibilities
The Administrative Specialist, Human Resources provides administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources Department. This position offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience in human resources operations, customer service, records management, and office administration while supporting departmental initiatives and daily functions.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Greet and assist employees, applicants, students, and visitors who contact or visit the Human Resources office. Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and general inquiries to appropriate HR staff. Assist with filing, scanning, organizing, and maintaining confidential personnel and departmental records. Prepare, copy, and distribute HR-related documents, forms, and correspondence. Assist with data entry and maintaining information in HR systems and databases. Support recruitment activities by preparing interview packets, organizing application materials, and assisting with onboarding documentation. Assist with scheduling meetings, training sessions, and employee events. Help prepare materials for professional development programs, employee recognition activities, and special HR initiatives. Maintain office supplies and assist with inventory management. Perform basic research and administrative projects as assigned. Adhere to confidentiality requirements regarding employee and organizational information. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chief Human Resources Officer or designated HR staff.

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
