Job description

Job Description: This is a high in Bernese Mountain Dog breeder. Part-time position assisting in all aspects of kennel care for large breed dogs. Flexible hours, including p.m. and weekend shifts as needed. Duties include supervising all aspect of puppies, pregnant dogs,feeding, supervising playtime, and grooming dogs plus maintaining a clean and safe environment inside and out. Keep files and profiles on each dog. Effectively and safely manage play groups of 5 to 50 dogs. Additional tasks include assisting with care of the dogs/puppies including light kennel cleaning, and feeding. Must have some experience with dogs and grooming.
Preferred schedule would be 7am-10am and 5pm-7pm will flex based on dogs needs.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Ability to follow low stress animal handling techniques and maintain a patient manner when handling puppy's
  • Give shots as needed
  • Feed and get dogs ready Puppy Yoga sessions
  • Groom dogs for maintenance and showing for adoption
  • Set time aside to play and condition puppy's
  • Able to work independently and without supervision
  • Has an upbeat and outgoing personality with ability to work with a variety responsibility
  • High attention to detail
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
  • Comfortable using a windows-based computer software program

Qualifications and Skills
Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
Must be able to work at least one weekend day.
