Job description

Job Summary
Part Time Field Service Technician - Phoenix, AZ
Robotics and Digital Solutions (RDS) Division of The Hillman Group has an opening for a Part Time Field Service Technician in the Phoenix, AZ area. You would begin your career with RDS as a Kiosk Technician training on key duplicating (Minute Key), tag engraving (Quick Tag) kiosks as well as 3rd party service (Eco-ATM, Pokémon).
The territory consists of 70+ kiosks and number of hours per week is around 25. This role is based on experience, usually paying $22-23 an hour. Car allowance will be provided along with cell-phone reimbursement and a corporate gas card for business miles.
Essential Job Functions*
  • Re-stock and perform routine service on kiosks as needed (determined by demand at the machine, or schedule).
  • Perform on-call repairs or adjustments to the machine when the machine goes out of order.
  • New kiosk Installations or swap newer kiosks of machines in the local area.
  • Monitor machines in territory daily for issues and contact stores to resolve connectivity or power issues.
  • Keep track of inventory for re-stocking machines that are in Kiosk Tech's possession.
  • Grow revenue in territory by optimizing machine locations, uptime, product mix, store relationships, etc.

Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Background in electromechanical repair and maintenance (preferred).
  • Prior experience in retail merchandising, field operations and customer service (preferred).
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar profile (preferred).
  • Experience with tools and troubleshooting mechanical problems.
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluent English to include technical "jargon".

Competencies - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to always represent Hillman professionally
  • Ability to work weekends when required

Operational Equipment
  • Must have an excellent driving record with a valid driver's license. Clean driving record is mandatory. Major driving violations will eliminate potential candidates.
  • Must have reliable transportation with automobile insurance (mileage reimbursement)
  • Must have a reliable cell phone (reimbursed)

Work Environment
Sales/Service: Environment varies due to location/store set-up. May be exposed to cramped quarters, dust, fumes, or odors. Travel required daily. May have to drive 200 miles daily. Hand/eye coordination required. Function vision and hearing required.
Physical Demands
Sales/Service: Medium, lifting up to 30 lbs., occasionally pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
