Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking to fill Transportation Construction Inspector (TCI) roles at varying levels to contribute to projects across Pennsylvania. We oversee projects involving roadways, structures, interchanges, and toll plazas. Offering expert consulting from design to construction.
Your Key Responsibilities
  • Review drawings to prepare for the inspection
  • Conduct field measurements to establish quantities for pay item documentation
  • Inspect work site for proper traffic control setup
  • Inspect erosion control devices, ensure they are maintained and that they are in compliance with applicable permits
  • Monitor and record materials certifications in accordance with the client's procedures

Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or relevant experience can be used in place of diploma
  • Minimum of one year construction inspection experience on major roadway and/or bridge inspection projects
  • Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike experience
  • Must have a minimum of one of the following:- Current NICET Level 2 or higher,
  • NECEPT Asphalt
  • PennDOT NECEPT Concrete certification

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
