Reporting to the Associate Dean, the incumbent develops and delivers courses in the Engineering Department with a focus on Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM). Â Courses may be scheduled and delivered during the day or evening at the Barrie Campus. Â Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Developing and delivering CAD and CAM courses in Engineering programs including Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics programs
    Developing and delivering appropriate curriculum to meet course objectives
    Incorporating a variety of teaching / learning strategies to meet student needs
    Evaluating student learning progress / academic achievement
    Participating in program and college activities as required
    Participating in program revision and renewal activities as required
    Creating and maintaining a positive learning environment
Qualifications:
    Diploma or degree in an Engineering related field;
    Course development and teaching experience for CAD and CAM related courses at the post secondary or within an adult learning environment;
    Minimum of 5 years recent and relevant engineering professional experience;
    An equivalent combination of education and / or professional practice may be considered in the total experience required;
    Computer literacy in MS Office Suite;
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
    Commitment to life-long learning;
    Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster the same in students;
    Experience in some or all of the following is an asset: curriculum development, a variety of delivery strategies, adult learning methodologies, academic advising, and student success strategies;
    Teaching and Training Adults certification is an asset;
    The ability to teach in more than one subject / program area is an asset
Acceptable proof of education (degrees, credentials) from recognized post-secondary institutions and Provincial Apprenticeship Board, or confirmation of international equivalencies will be required as part of the selection process.
