MBL Technologies is seeking a Part-Time Federal Regulatory Advisor - Mission Expert to support a federal agency. If awarded, the Mission Expert will provide subject matter expertise and strategic advisory services related to federal regulatory requirements, ensuring contract deliverables are completed on time while supporting regulatory compliance, governance, and organizational readiness.


This is a proposed part-time position contingent upon contract award. The role requires a proven professional with expertise in federal regulatory compliance, policy analysis, governance, and strategic advisory services who can effectively monitor emerging federal guidance, assess regulatory impacts, and collaborate with legal, technical, business, and government stakeholders to support the successful implementation of federal requirements across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Monitor federal agency websites and other authoritative sources for new and emerging laws, regulations, policies, and guidance that may impact agency operations.
  • Analyze regulatory changes and communicate potential impacts to executive leadership through reports, briefings, dashboards, and status updates.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and other reporting tools to track implementation progress, action items, and compliance status.
  • Maintain documentation supporting regulatory analyses, implementation activities, and program decisions.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel, program offices, and other stakeholders to interpret federal regulatory requirements and determine organizational applicability.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to support regulatory compliance, governance, and operational effectiveness.
  • Prepare executive-level briefings, reports, and presentations for senior leadership.

Required Experience Skills & Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in public policy, Business, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Law, or a related field.
  • 10+ years IT experience or relevant industry experience.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting federal regulatory compliance, policy analysis, governance, or program management.
  • Experience interpreting and implementing federal laws, regulations, executive orders, OMB guidance, and agency directives.
  • Strong analytical, technical writing, and communication skills with experience preparing executive-level reports and briefings.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with legal, technical, and business stakeholders in a federal environment.
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide solutions and recommendations to comply with federal regulations.
  • Experience developing dashboards, tracking regulatory actions, and supporting governance or compliance initiatives is preferred.
  • Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain a security clearance.
