Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Custom Applicator Operator specializing in liquid and dry fertilizer applications. This energetic role involves operating farm machinery and equipment to ensure precise application of fertilizers, supporting local farming, landscaping, pest control, and land management efforts. Join our team to contribute directly to the success of area farmers while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate farm machinery, including sprayers and applicators, to apply liquid and dry fertilizers accurately across designated fields.
  • Prepare and calibrate equipment using hand tools and power tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment for safety, cleanliness, and proper functioning before use.
  • Follow safety protocols diligently while handling chemicals and operating heavy machinery.
  • Maintain detailed records of application activities, including quantities used and areas covered.
  • Assist with maintenance and minor repairs on farm machinery using hand tools and power tools.
  • Support other land management tasks such as pest control, or crop protection as needed.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience with farm machinery operation, land application equipment, or related farm work is preferred.
  • Knowledge of agricultural practices, including fertilizer application techniques.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and farm machinery safely and effectively.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving large vehicles or farm machinery is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for record keeping.
  • Basic understanding of pest control, lawn care, or landscaping is a plus.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions; physical stamina is essential.
