Reports To: Brand Activation Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly

Other Specifications: Physical position - required lifting, carrying, reaching, squatting, bending, sitting, standing, and driving (as needed)

Position Summary:

Our Event Team Member candidate is someone who enjoys working with others and has strong interpersonal skills. An event staff employee will be supervised by the Brand Activation Manager who will assign duties and roles including but not limited to: small to large scale on- and off-site events, samplings, tours, gift shop, and more. Event staff will answer questions regarding Ale-8-One for the purpose of generating public interest in our brand and products. They assist with implementation of brand promotion and provide feedback on sales opportunities in the marketplace. Ale-8-One Event Team Members directly interact with our consumers to drive consumer demand and preference for the Ale-8-One Brand. In addition to job roles, event staff will likely be on their feet for the duration of an event and need a certain level of energy and enthusiasm to succeed.

Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Loading and Unloading equipment from trucks and setting up for events, including tents, tables, merchandise, and product
  • Operating iPad and Square systems for card and cash transactions
  • Ensuring the event stock room is clean and organized
  • Inspecting equipment for damage after use and checking it against an inventory list
  • Set up and break down of the display area at each event. This includes pick-up and delivery of materials needed for display, icing down drinks, and creating an appealing display to be utilized in a sampling or promotional setting
  • Promote the brand through field marketing programs by engaging with consumers and guests through a variety of means such as:
    • Assisting guests with interactive activities (games and contests, photo booth, social media engagement, sampling tables, VR experiences etc.)
    • Event registration/desk attendant
    • Organization and assembling of swag bags and branded giveaway items
    • Product sample preparation and distribution
    • Share knowledge of the brand, product differences and similarities, and history of the company
  • Packing up equipment when the event is completed and returning it in an organized fashion
  • Provide feedback to the Brand Activation Manager regarding each demo or promotional event worked

Position Requirements:

  • 18+ years of age
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends
  • Must have excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Must have strong computer skills and be able to adapt to and learn new technologies.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be able to work independently and with other members of the Event Team with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to remain calm and project a calm presence during tension and crisis.
  • Must be dependable; excellent attendance and punctuality are critical to the success of this role.
  • Possess good organizational skills.
  • Follow PPE guidelines, as required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 35lbs and occasionally up to 60lbs and adequately stand, sit, squat, kneel, bend, twist, reach and do overhead work as required to execute event assignments.
  • Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle, have a reliable means of transportation and a valid, active driver's license with a safe driving record.
