Event Security Guard - Part-Time
Trail Drive Management Corporation Properties:
Trail Drive Management Corp. (TDMC) is a not-for-profit venue management company in Fort Worth, Texas. TDMC manages all aspects of venue management, including but not limited to event booking, event management, marketing, IT, technical services, food & beverage, parking, security, housekeeping, changeover, maintenance, and more. TDMC manages several venues in Fort Worth, TX.
Job Summary:
Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC) is looking for a part-time Event Security Guard. They are responsible for checking all bags entering the arena for prohibited items, will operate a walkthrough magnetometer and/or handheld magnetometer to screen guests, employees, and contractors entering the facilities, and assisting in providing a safe environment for the facility.
This position will be 100% on-site.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Respond immediately to potential problems such as fighting, disorderly conduct, excessive use of alcohol, smoking, and abusive language.
  • Keep the Event Security Supervisor briefed on all accidents or incidents that occur.
  • Write reports on all, if any, accidents or potential problems that shall occur within the arena.
  • Walk the premises to ensure the building is secure.
  • Monitor assigned sections or Parking Lots for guest or safety issues.
  • Assist with post-event activities such as clearing the seating area, concourses, and plaza.
  • Adhere to Trail Drive Management Corporation (TDMC) Policies and Procedures.
  • Act as a role model within and outside the Trail Drive Management facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to be registered with the Texas Commission of Private Security.
  • Must be able to follow proper radio etiquette.
  • Must be able to be trained to operate a Walkthrough and Handheld Magnetometer Wand.
  • Previous security experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and remain calm during times of stress.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including - nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to communicate effectively with management, guests, and team members.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Working Conditions:
  • Employees will work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures.
  • Employees must have the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Employees will regularly spend their shift standing/walking, traveling stairs, with limited to no sitting.
  • Employees may be exposed to high noise levels and/or fluctuating lights in event settings.
  • Employees must have the ability to reach, lift, and bend to perform job duties throughout the shift.
  • Employees may be exposed to hazards associated with moving vehicles and require strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Employees may be exposed to hazardous chemicals, electrical shock risks, and vibrations throughout the shift.
