Position Summary Information
Primary Purpose
The Emcee is responsible for providing an inclusive and entertaining environment for fans, athletes, staff, faculty, and students. The role will be an extension of marketing in promoting Pacific Athletics through events, social media, etc.
Essential Functions
  • Act as host in promoting in-game contests, sponsors, and entertainment.
  • Engage fans in entertainment such as performances and cheers.
  • Make periodic announcements when needed.
  • Attend community events as directed by Assistant Director of Marketing and Promotions.
  • Maintain high-energy and positive attitude.
  • Speak clearly with exceptional annunciation.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • One (1) year of experience working in an emcee or PA role with a sports organization at a collegiate, minor league, or professional level.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably related to communications, marketing, sports management, or related field.
  • Experience in hosting large scale events.
  • Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
  • Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
Physical Requirements
