Job description

About the Role:
We need a skilled Cleaner to keep our surgical center looking amazing. You will be in charge of keeping things neat and tidy. This is an essential role in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for our patients and our team.

Job Type: Part Time (10-15 hours per week)
Schedule: 2 hours per day in the late afternoon or evening (4:30pm or later), Monday through Friday.  
Pay: $22 per hour
Please note: we are hiring for a temporary position while an employee is on leave.  However, there is a possibility this may become a permanent part-time position.
Responsibilities:
  • Take responsibility for the cleanliness of our entire office and surgery center
  • Perform routine cleaning duties such as mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
  • Clean and sanitize patient rooms, reception, restrooms, break rooms, hallways, and other areas
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
  • Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper as needed.
  • Work carefully around medical equipment
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replacements as needed
  • Assist with special cleaning projects and deep cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Follow appropriate safety protocols
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs or any safety issues that you find
  • Work collaboratively with team members to uphold high cleanliness standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years experience with cleaning, janitorial, or custodial work required (experience in a healthcare setting preferred)
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and supplies
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment, including vacuums
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects as needed (must be able to lift at least 35 pounds unassisted)
  • Good communication and a positive attitude
