About the Position:


We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeepers to join our team at Mountainside Treatment Center, a residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation center committed to providing a safe, supportive, and healing environment for individuals on their recovery journey.


As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and comfortable facility that supports the well-being and dignity of our clients and staff. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility, discretion, and empathy, as you will be working in an environment where compassion and confidentiality are essential.


The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, be reliable, and demonstrate a respectful and non-judgmental attitude toward individuals in recovery. This is more than just a cleaning role — it’s an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the recovery process by helping create a peaceful and orderly space where healing can begin.


Schedule Options:

We offer a variety of scheduling options designed to support work-life balance, with current opportunities detailed below:

  • Full-Time (40 hours/week) - 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
  • Part-Time (24 hours/week) - 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
  • Rotating schedules include weekend shifts. Must be available to work weekend hours.

Your Role:

  • Follow all established policies and procedures of the Housekeeping Department
  • Dust hallways, offices, client rooms, recreation areas, lounges, and other assigned spaces
  • Wash walls, windows, window frames, tiles, door frames, and other high-touch or elevated surfaces
  • Vacuum drapes, carpets, and area rugs throughout the facility
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms, ensuring replenishment of toiletries and other amenities
  • Safely transport trash, waste, and recyclables to designated disposal areas
  • Make beds and change client linens as needed, adhering to infection control protocols
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping supply and storage closets
  • Realign furniture and room layouts in accordance with the facility’s approved “look book” or room standard guide
  • Operate various cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers, carpet shampooers) as required
  • Ensure proper disposal of biohazard waste and sharps containers in compliance with safety regulations
  • Disinfect and sanitize frequently touched surfaces to maintain a hygienic environment for clients and staff

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write and to follow oral and written instructions Required
  • Ability to work weekends, nights and holidays Required
  • Must be capable of heavy lifting up to 50lbs, etc. Required
  • 1 year of Housekeeping experience Preferred

Compensation:

  • The base rate of pay for this position is $17.00 to $19.50 per hour.
  • Certain shifts are eligible for a $2.00 per hour shift differential.
  • Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
