Job Summary Job Summary The Orange County Department of Education is seeking a skilled and collaborative UI/UX Designer to lead the design of a modern payroll and HR system that will replace a legacy platform. This role will play a critical part in transforming complex payroll and HR processes into intuitive, user-friendly experiences for stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a strong balance of design expertise, business understanding, and technical collaboration-along with experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to enhance design workflows and outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Orange County Department of Education is seeking a skilled and collaborative UI/UX Designer to lead the design of a modern payroll and HR system that will replace a legacy platform. This role will play a critical part in transforming complex payroll and HR processes into intuitive, user-friendly experiences for stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a strong balance of design expertise, business understanding, and technical collaboration-along with experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to enhance design workflows and outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead UX/UI Design for ERP System - Design user-centered interfaces for a new enterprise payroll solution, replacing a legacy system. - Translate complex payroll and HR workflows into streamlined, intuitive user experiences. Stakeholder Collaboration - Partner closely with Payroll and HR business units to understand requirements, pain points, and compliance needs.

- Work alongside software analysts, developers, and IT teams to align design with technical feasibility. Facilitation & Communication - Lead design workshops, requirements sessions, and usability reviews. - Present design concepts, prototypes, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
