What You’ll Be Doing

Customer Service & Expertise

• Warmly greet customers and create a welcoming, helpful store experience.

• Provide knowledgeable guidance on equine products, farm supplies, feed, tack, and animal care.

• Introduce customers to new products and keep them informed about promotions and sales.

• Answer questions with confidence, customers count on you as their trusted resource.

• Upsell and cross-sell thoughtfully to ensure customers leave with exactly what they need.


Store Operations & Merchandising

• Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing aisles, end caps, and displays.

• Build seasonal displays and floor moves; keep signage accurate and visible.

• Restock merchandise promptly and maintain precise inventory counts.

• Work in the side yard, assisting customers with feed, hay, and propane refills.

• Operate forklifts, dollies, and hand trucks to move and organize merchandise (training provided).


Teamwork & Store Support

• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless daily store operations.

• Participate in shift huddles, required training, and ongoing product education.

• Proactively identify and complete tasks that keep the store running smoothly.

• Stay alert to shrinkage and follow established loss prevention protocols.


What We’re Looking For

• Genuine passion for farm life, horses, or equine care; whether through personal experience, ranching, farming, or working with livestock.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; you naturally make people feel at ease.

• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Basic computer skills; familiarity with point-of-sale or inventory systems is a plus.

• Retail or customer service experience is welcome, but we’ll train the right candidate.

• Experience with visual merchandising is a bonus.


Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead.
  • Capable of pushing/pulling merchandise using proper equipment (e.g., pallet jack).
  • Physically able to stand, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable operating equipment such as a dolly, hand truck, forklift, baler, computer, and cash register (forklift and baler operation not required for individuals under 18).
  • Comfortable working outdoors in the side yard in varied weather conditions.
  • Adhere to all store safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Must be reliable and able to work scheduled shifts.
  • Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
