We are currently searching for a PRN Patient Services Specialist to join our team at our OrthoCarolina Huntersville office location for our Urgent Care Practice.
Huntersville Urgent Care hours:
  • Monday 5:30pm - 9:00pm
  • Friday 5:30pm - 9:00pm

This opportunity comes with the option to pick up daytime shifts during the week and other OUC shifts on the weekends.
The Patient Services Specialist greets patients, prepares forms, collects, verifies and enters patient information into EPIC necessary for the timely and accurate processing of patient claims.
Essential Functions:
  • Prepares paperwork necessary for the patient visit.

  • Answers incoming phone calls and directs calls, makes appointments, performs Cashier duties as directed including posting of charges,

  • Collection of co-payments/co-insurance and balances due.

  • Follows the process for release of medical information and FMLA/disability forms completion as requested.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Working knowledge of insurance

  • Epic/EMR background a plus

  • Medical terminology

Qualifications:
  • High school graduate and/or associate or bachelor's degree

  • Prefer minimum of one year experience in medical clinic setting.
